Officiating give you a chance to observe what other players and teams do well or could do better. It also helps you learn to anticipate play which in turn will help your game with puck support, positional play and improve your transition game.

New this year - All seminars are virtual, and you can attend any seminar location.
It is encouraged that Level 1 officials attend one of the SD hosted seminars. The Level 1 seminars hosted by SD are 2-day events and you must attend both days of the same seminar to receive credit.
Click to go to USAHockey.com to register for an online seminar for Levels 1, 2, or 3.
All L1 officials are also required to attend a 1 hour on-ice workshop. Watertown’s first on-ice workshop will be Sunday Sept 29 from noon to 1:00 and attendance will be recorded and sent to the Referee-In-Chief. The day and time for the second workshop is not set yet but likely Saturday or Sunday, Nov 16 or 17 pending ice availability. Contact Adam Sullivan, whavicepresident@watertownlakers.org to reserve your spot for the on-ice seminar.
